Hello, I'm new here..my name is René.
As a young kid (6) I always played with electronics, collecting radio's and tv's from garbage and make my parents mad with this... I'm 37 now, and still playing with (and selling some of) the components i have collected in my life. Tube audio is my favourite. I build a "Menno van der Veen" design amplifier with EL84 tubes for output driven by ECC81. This amplifier is "modernized" with remote control (Z80 based IR-receiver and VFD display), 8 inputs, phono pre-amp. Also another project is a tube DAC with AD1865 and ECC88 tube, like audionote. I'm starting next week with a SE-design based on KT44 tubes from this website: http://www2u.biglobe.ne.jp/~tossie/ anyone that ever used KT44 before? |

Hello Rene and welcome to the forums. This is a great place to discuss your fancy for tubes. There are quite a number of very smart tubeheads here.
