Hello!
I've been wanting to resurrect my 30 year old Hi Fi system when I found this site of interest. I haven't played the near 600 LP's in 20 years all in excellent condition. It will be great to hear them again in better sound than before. I have a Luxman L80V integrated amp running a Fons CQ-30 turntable with a Stax UA7 carbonfiber S tonearm and Dante 12" 3 way speakers. To start I plan to rebuild the Fons using the original motor, the 8 lb. platter and the variable speed electronics and new speakers of course or build some. I'll post a new thread in the forum when I list the materials and steps I'll use for the rebuild. |
