Hello all,
My name is Carl from Cape Town, RSA. I decided to join this forum after visiting a few times to see what it was all about. I found a wealth of information and a lot of very helpful and friendly guys. My work expierience has mostly been in electronics, starting off in submarines in electro-mechanical torpedo systems and then to sonar, radar, nav and weapons systems, as a tec. I now work on ROV's offshore, specialising in electronics but also a bit of electro hydraulics too. My interest in electronics is general but my first love is audio, especially valve audio. I've built 1 valve amp so far and a host of other audio projects. I've done a bit of tweaking on valve amps but would like to get into designing my own. I'm also interested in accoustics and speakers and, wahey, this forum seems to have it all covered. Well, thanks for letting me in, I'm sure I can gain alot from being here and I would like to be able to return the favour and contribute something valuable here too. Best regards to you all. Carl |
