Default Greetings!

I've just signed up after a long absence from building gear because I'm moving into unfamiliar territory. Backing into it, really.

While I'm certainly familiar with SET amps, efficient speakers, etc as the U.S. Distributor for Audio Note UK, I'm going off the beaten track in my spare time. I've decided to build a WE205D based amp, which with its mighty 1 watt demands insanely efficient loudspeakers. So it looks like I'll probably be building speakers, too. Don't know whether they'll be Lowther, Fostex or even Altec 604 based, but I've got to get north of 100dB/w/m, or listen in a closet.

I look forward to reading about everyone's adventures, getting some good advice, and mabye offering some in the areas I have experience.

Welcome DRCope,
Do have a look at www.passlabs.com -> Firstwatt if you want a nice example of efficiency.
Keep us posted.
