I've been at doing audio eletronics since the early eighties.
I think I started getting almost good at it around 88 or so I firmly beleive that audio equipment should be inaudible in itself, except for deliberately introduced controlled changes. I e a perfect piece of audio equipment is one that cannot be identified in a double-blind before-vs-after comparison. That's an easy test do do for an amplifier but not too easy for a speaker or a microphone. I'm too old for comfort. I'm too fond of wine and cigars. I work as a lab manager with a major, like really major, ww computer and SW mfg. |

Hans, welcome. You and I have quite a bit in common.
Tonight, magnums only, '01 Pichon Condrieu, '83 Chave Hermitage Blanc, '95 Faurie Hermitage, '95 Jasmin Côte-Rôtie, '90 Grande Dame, '95 Ogier Côte-Rôtie "La Belle Helene," '89 Lynch-Bages, and finally '59 Huet Moelleux "Clos de Bourg." I think someone is bringing some Bourgognes, too, but that will be our surprise.
