This is a great forum, I'm learning... slowly.
I'm an artist. I make "interactive sculpture" from cast-off electronic stuff by coupling the pieces together with embedded computers. I think the highest voltage I have ever used is 48VDC. To make a long story short: - people give me stuff which goes in my barn. - my fifteen year old daughter gets a nice Gibson SG and forms a band. - I built her a nice practise amp using Transistors! (forgive me I did not know). She tells me it does not "sound right" even after I showed her that it was very HiFi on the scope. - In my barn are lots of old tube radios and some new-in-the-box tubes. - I am building her a tube amp Thats my story so far. |

Now we will have to judge things on their artistic merit as well.
Welcome aboard Mark

Welcome to the forum. You will find that the "Tubes" forum is a very friendly place - and your daughter was right. (But you are forgiven.)
