Default introducing me

Hi
I am a new member who is interested in electronics from a practical viewpoint. I have currently got 2 amplifiers which are not working and one speaker which is also inoperable so I will be looking for some tips on trouble-shooting /repairing these items.

Hi there Bssmaa,

Nice one,
David.

Hi David
I have got two amps, one is a Leak stereo amp, it is not giving any sound from the speaker connections, but is giving sound through one side of the headphones attached to the headphone jack. The speakers are Denon SCM5K, and one of these is not giving any sound at all. Good to see someone else in Bath is interested in this sort of stuff. Actually I bought both of these items at a car boot sale and was hoping that the leak amp was a valve amp that I could use for parts to build a valve amp from, but instead it was an early transistor amp. It only cost me £2 , and I think that it woul;d be a learning experience to get it going. I am away for the next 10 days or so, so won't be able to repond until I get back.

regards

Michael
