Greetings from the Sunshine State down under.
I'm an expat pom who has been living in Perth, WA for nearly 10 years. Hi-fi was one of my main hobbies in my early 20s, and I still possess the original equipment I had which has been upgraded in various ways, forming two systems as follows: Main system: Source : Marantz CD60SE (1997 vintage) AMP : Mission Cyrus 2 iteg.amp with PSX power supply (1990) Speakers : Audiosound 8033A Minuet Mk111 speakers + matching stands (around 94-95 vintage) CD filer : Francinstein imaging filter (from perfect pitch music) The speakers are an Australian model with an almost obscenely deep Y (depth) dimension (X being width and Z being height). Second system: Source : Marantz CD50SE (1997 vintage) AMP : Denon PMA250SE iteg.amp speakers : Mission Cyrus 781 with matching stands Tape DecK : Denon DRM600 The Cyrus 2/combo is in almost perfect condition - I have had this since 1990 and it looks as though it has just come out of the factory. The Audiosound speakers also I think are rather unique in that the depth of the cabinets gives them a distinctive appearance. Well, i found this site and thought i'd join up, so hello to everyone. Cheers Richie. |

Hi Richie
Greeting from Qld............... Have you ever opened your CD50SE or CD60SE? I would be really interested to find out what capacitors have been used and if the values are different to the standard models.
