I’m going to biamp the speakers. I use a Yamaha 2050 amp for the tweeter and mid and pro- cerwin-Vega for the Bass. My dac and CV are balanced thru to the 2050 is unbalanced but xlr only (fake unbalanced) so thought I’d stay. Not a expert on this but isn’t there a difference in gain stage between the two? If I built that amp, is 25w enough to drive a SS tweeter and 12mu mid xo at 450~ And play at home theater level? I would think so ...
Absolutely!
I can wholeheartedly recommend you build them as soon as possible, using whatever amps and you have and crossover/DSP you can get, and upgrade and change along the way. They are so incredibly good that any configuration is going to be amazing, and it's just tweaking for the better past that.
