can’t believe it took this long to find/join this consortium.
built my heathkit aa-1800 amp and ap-1800 pre back in the late 70s.
promply/properly fried my (ex-)friend’s advent 1s while on the
combo’s maiden voyage.
then built speakerlab s30s, which could handle the power.
they had great bass, but i thought that was about it, imho.
then went thru a bunch of store-bought hifi gear,
including tact audio’s room correction system.
now waiting for a nanodigi to arrive (and umik from another source) to
experiment with (jbl) CDs, horns, and bass corner-loading (lo-passing
in the 2-300hz range).
