Glad to have found this place, I am your standard American that has restored Corvettes, builds AR-15s, does a lot of woodworking and has dabbled in speaker / crossover building and design. I am looking to build a cool looking tube amplifier from either walnut or oak to match the rest of my house which is a Frank Lloyd Wright replica that I built that has a lot of craftsman and Nakashima style furniture that I have built. Looking to spend around 1K in parts not including lumber, I want it to look clean, with just a power switch and volume knob on the front and the tubes protruding out the top along with the transformers mounted on the back. Any guidance on plans or similar projects people have done would be appreciated.
