Hello from the sunny East Riding of Yorkshire

I've been soldering my fingers together from age 13 and fifty years later I think I've nearly got the hang of it.

I have been a member on here for quite some time but now that I'm retired I should be able to take a more active part in the forum.

Hi Planet10, yes that's because we are so poor we cannot afford to buy ready made items.

PS I had some great times on the beautiful Vancouver Island at Victoria working on Coast Guard ships in the 1990s. Hope they are all still running OK.

I pop back now and again to partake in cycle races and visit family.

Interesting thing:
We get a lot of Germans holidaying down here and they NEVER complain about the rain.
"Yes, you are lucky to live in such a beautiful place." they say while walking up the road with our backs to horizontal stair rods
We (after living here for best part of 20yrs, I'm classed as 'Nearly Cornish') also have more holes than Blackburn Lancashire.
