Smile Swiss audiophile wants to say hello

Hello Guys

Just wanted to introduce myself. I live in Zurich switzerland and i am an IT-Specialist. I am highly engaged in high end computer audio and saw that some people here are talking about my latest project. So it seemed to be a good idea to join as well :-)

If you have ever heard of "John Doe's audiophile Windows 8" or "Windows Server 2012 audiophile core edition", well then, here i am! :-)

Best Regards,
Philipp

Mmmmm. Too complex for me.

Mine actually are in the following photos. The PC is an oldie AMD 486 running DOS 7.10 and MPXPLAY from PDSoft. INcluded in the equipment is the AM/FM receiver (In the box under the AM ferrite antenna), and CD player, old PC with all buttons to act the devices. Less sophisticated, but still usefull. I made it about 12 years ago, and still is not finished, as you can see. Under development is a push pull EL34 ultralinear with output transformers toroidal winded at home by my own hands.

Wow. I would probably never be able to build something like this! Since you are using it since more than a decade, it has to sound very nice.

Certainly, yes. I like listen Joaquín Sabina and Joan Manuel Serrat (Spanish singer songwriters) almost once at a mount, and never I could increase the pot volume from 1/10 without having a neighbour screaming at the door!
