Default Hey Everyone!

Hey everyone!

Ive been browsing the forums for a while but the time has come to stop lurking and say hello and thanks everyone for the goldmine of information thats on here!

Ive been a bass player all my adult life, a few years ago I decided to actually bite the bullet and build an instrument from scratch.

Since then, I went on a guitar building course with Jon Shuker in Derbyshire in the UK:

Ive got another bass on the go at the moment, but now, Im starting to get back into building electronic boxes of trick as well. My first really big project is a 200 watt 6550 powered bass amp, will let you know how I get on with that!

Hi ya Mikey...welcome to the Forums. What a beautiful work of art you have there! I do so wish I had some woodworking skills like yourself. Mind you , I love perusing circuits & designs, but I really want to be artistic....as some seem to have a natural talent. Can one learn to be artistic, or is it an inherent thing?
You need to hook-up with George here on the Forums, he has been building Guitar amps for ??? years, his avatar has him playing guitar. The two of you would have a lot to chat about! www.tubelab.com
Again welcome!

Cheers Rick! Some people have a built in talant or a tendancy to just be good at this stuff, the rest of us just have to plug away at it! But its like any skill, you just get better by doing.
