Hello from Bulgaria!
My name is Andrey, but for short you can call me Andy or as my friends call me - DRE, but nothing to do with the rapper ![]() I've been into car audio primarily as a hobby since I was a kid. Last year I bought a set of Yamaha home speakers and suddenly an old hobby was resurrected. Unfortunately, theres not much time for hobbies these days with work and all, but we are managing. Anyway, I've recently decided to explore this hobby further and make some of my own speaker systems and cabinets, I'm even considering my own crossovers but have to catch up on A LOT of reading material. From talking with friends, discussing how I wanted to make a better sub box for my tiny 10", I suddenly ended up with having to design a car sub box for myself and home sub box using a car sub (imagine that) for my friend! All is good and all, but last time I did a box was 5 years ago and IT was my first one! Even worse the material is already bought and suddenly Im not certain in my calculation! So, I think I will have some questions and ideas that I would be happy to discuss with you guys I would classify myself as an amateur / enthusiast, I have some degree of understanding / basic knowledge on audio in general. I am an economist by profession and everything I know otherwise I have self thought. Like - "how to put a turbo on your car - no problem, here some books on internal combustion, thermodynamics and stuff" With audio I'm the same, but never completed the building cycle properly.Ok, I think I'm going overboard now, so I will stop. Nice to be here guys, greetings once again. |
