Hello everyone! Been browsing the forums and thrilled about the amount of knowledge on here. I have been helping my father in law troubleshoot his kenwood km 106 power amp. He was getting a hum then no sound at all. The unit has power, all the speakers and lines were checked and all good. Still no sound to the speakers or headphones. Any help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS

if you don't get too much of a response here then you might want to try posting in the solid state forum, I did a quick search and it looks like a reasonably modern amp, does anything light up at all? Perhaps it has a protection circuit that is being triggered causing it to shut down?
edit: ok I found it was made in the 80's so may not have protection circuitry...
