Just signed up. I'm a newbie/noob when it comes to DIY.
I have been thinking of going the DIY route and start with something simple like the open baffle design.
I listen to a lot of rock, metal, soft rock, etc. and listen to a lot of Pink Floyd, Eagles, CCR, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Metallica, Rory Gallagher, Jimi Hendrix, Steely Dan, KRS-ONE, Boogie Down Productions, Simply Red and many more.
I have a decent audio setup KEF, Marantz, DAC with primarily a PC based setup. I've been looking to upgrade for a while but none of the pro audio stuff in my budget seems impressive... hence the desire/decision to try DIY.
