Hello From Arkansas
I'm retired now and recently dug out the old analog audio equipment I bought when I was in the Army. To me nothing sounds better than my TEAC X2000R playing through my Pioneer SX780 in my Pioneer CS707 speakers. I have a question, is there any chance that an old goat like me could learn how to diagnose and repair this stuff? My TEAC works well except for one problem. I have to more or less hold the right side tension idler in place when I press play. If I don't it bounces all over the place and eventually allows enough slack in the tape to build up so that the idler drops down and stops play.
