Hello from a Dutch guy

Hello,

Let me introduce myself:
I'm Eric from the Netherlands and as a profession i worked as a programmer (webdevelopment, databases, graphical design), studied electronics (a long time ago ) and did Informatics.
At the moment my interests in audio are Tubes because i do not know much about that, so this is why i registered to this forum. I hope i can learn a lot of the diy engineers here

I own a dedicated HomeTheater and stereo setup. The HT will be completed shortly (work in progress) and i just finished my new stereo system in my livingroom which consist of the following devices:

How does it sound? Well here is a short impression and of course in real life the sound is much better but it gives a little impression.
To me it sounds dynamically, 3D, huge soundstage and detailed but never to harsh.

Welcome to the forum! Very nice set-up you have there. I hope that we can convince you to start building your own gear. Tubes are a good place to start.

Well at least i can learn a lot here .

A very long time ago (i think i was 20 years old) i build my biggest project a complete active PA system (Linkwitz, 6 amplifiers, every part seperate power supply) but the whole system was to big for my livingroom but the sound quality was very good of it (Luxman pre-amp).



With Celestion units.




My last project was a lineair power supply for my Touch and is was fun to hear a big difference in such a small project.



But my expertise is more graphical design and programming (My Dune Mediacenter Portal).
