Newbie in search of advice on theatre speakers.
Hello,
I'm liquidating my father's estate in the Los Angeles area and he has left behind several (6, I think) very large speakers. He used to own movie theatres, so these are undoubtedly from one of them. They say "Stephens Tru-Sonic" on them. I could use some help finding someone knowledgable to look at them and advise re: selling them. What would be the best thread to bring up this question (and to entertain responses)... thank you, I look forward to learning something here. djw |
The guys on the Lansing Heritage site or the Altec forum may be able to help.
Stephens aren't either of those, tho similar enough. There will be folks there knowledgeable if you ask politely (keeping in mind the brand difference). http://www.audioheritage.org/vbulletin/index.php http://www.hostboard.com/forums/f700...ers-board.html |
Hi djw and welcome aboard,
Do you happen to have pictures of them? |
Welcome to the forum... pictures would be nice.

I'll get pictures of them next time I go to the house (next week). To me, they're just big ugly brown boxes. Do you need pictures of the "guts"...?
|
Yes please, the guts are the naughty bits. You're too far away to make a deal with me but others might want...well you know. To us, the guts are the porn of audio.

lol... okay. If anybody knows someone in the Ventura County/LA County area of California who might like to dissect and have a look let me know! When I get pictures of guts, I'll share. :)
