Hi, working on a hobby project

Hey,

Just dropped by to greet everyone and shortly explain what I've been planning for quite a while now. First of all, hello!

I randomly stumbled upon this forum when doing research for my DIY audio sampler. Sounds like something impossible but it's not. My plan so far is to use a small fan-less single board computer (SBC), sound card and a small USB/RS232 display. Am planning to use x86 based SBC because I have all necessary tools and knowledge how to write Windows/Linux software.

Anyone who has dealt with Akai or Roland samplers will know that essentially they're pretty basic computers with plenty of audio ins/outs.

So far it seems that this board will come in handy. Maybe there is someone who had done something similar and can give me some tips. That would be much appreciated.
