Hey,
Just dropped by to greet everyone and shortly explain what I've been planning for quite a while now. First of all, hello! I randomly stumbled upon this forum when doing research for my DIY audio sampler. Sounds like something impossible but it's not. My plan so far is to use a small fan-less single board computer (SBC), sound card and a small USB/RS232 display. Am planning to use x86 based SBC because I have all necessary tools and knowledge how to write Windows/Linux software. Anyone who has dealt with Akai or Roland samplers will know that essentially they're pretty basic computers with plenty of audio ins/outs. So far it seems that this board will come in handy. Maybe there is someone who had done something similar and can give me some tips. That would be much appreciated. Cheers, Olby |
