Hi,

newbie here....trying to resurrect a system for vinyl tape and cd. Initailly using my Arcam Alpha Plus CDP and Cyrus One amp. Wifey has Dual turntable and Marantz tape deck (she also has Marantz CDP)

Turntable now works after getting cheapy cartridge top trace fault - now about to buy replacement proper cartridge. Tape deck works fine after cleaning Amp selector switches. Now though Arcam CDP starts crackling after about 2 tracks of warming up, so using marantz until i can rectify Arcam

Site looks like a wealth of knowledge - I'm no electronics expert

Hi Andrew,
Welcome to diyAudio! Check out the analog source section for help on getting the analog side of your system up, and tweaked for maximum performance. Someone in digital sources hopefully can provide some guidance on the Arcam..
