Default Hey All!

Hi everyone!

Just found this forum when I was looking to build a portable amp and looks like it has lots of information. :] I hope to learn lots.
Just a bit about me, I'm a second year electrical engineering student at the University of Alberta. I just recently started getting into the headphones and all that awesomeness. Also, I'm a girl - just gotta throw it out there cause people always assume that I'm a guy. :]

Nice to meet you!

I won't hold that against you. Over the years I have worked with some very capable engineers who happened to be female girl persons of the opposite sex. In fact, when I was about your age one of my professors was Dr. Martha Sloan, who later became IEEE President. Before you complete your studies you may encounter the work of Dr. Ingrid Daubechies. Those are just two prominent examples - don't let anybody tell you girls can't be first-rate engineers!

Sparked,

I found the diyAudio forum earlier this year, and trust me, have learned loads from the very knowledgeable and friendly folks. The old threads are also an excellent resource.

Welcome and hope you like diyAudio (both the forum and the hobby)!
