Hi Im ben,
I thought I would say hello to everyone as I have been looking at the site for a while now. Im mainly interested in building hi-fi speakers and have already dipped a toe into the water by building a pair or 2 way stand mounters using 100mm Tang Band full range drivers coupled with a pair of mission mid / woofers. I basically copied a design a I had seen on another forum and have to say a for what they cost me they sound pretty good to my ears. I dont have much to compare them to as my main speakers are usually a large pair of monitor audio floor standers. So anyway I am hoping to learn a lot from this forum (i have no real experience or knowledge of the electrical side of things but im not too bad with a saw and glue lol) and potentially look into another speaker project using better quality drivers maybe next year some time. The rest of my hi fi kit consists of a Roksan Kandy amp, and SRM athena record deck and a pc running through a CA dacmagic. cheers Ben |
