Default New guy from Paris

Hi all,

I just registered to this forum after reading and absorbing many years the knowledgeable threads, and I hope to contribute soon. I'm passionate about electronics since childhood, and I'm thrilled to see that well-known writers like Jan Didden and Bob Cordell are hanging around here! Is Douglas Self around here as well?

Bon, developing a strange addict for 70's Sony gear the last few years (~30 units by now), including various working and faulty VFET amps of course.

Combining electronics and 70's Sony is a dangerous mix of passions; I'm thinking of designing and building a hybrid VFET amp for some time now. Help needed !

PS: only living in France; Dutch design

Cheers,
Oscar

Thanks guys!

Yep, just scored a mint Sansui AU-888 for 30 euros in a Parisian goodwill store. Component (caps, trannies) required, but in superb condition. Will report here when that project starts.

cheers,
oscar
