Default Hello from Panania

I discovered this forum while searching out small valve amplifiers <1W. I have been involved in electronics for many years and retired from the workforce last year. Since then I have been "tinkering in the shed" and have made one small valve stereo amp using two 6AK5's which I have driven from my iPod. At the moment I'm waiting for an iPod charger ($3) from china so that i can scavenge the socket and mounting to do a build that I can mount my iPod on. The idea is to put it all in a small die-cast box with the two valves showing on top of the case next to the iPod dock. I'll use a small plug pack for power. I have a Cole Clark electric acoustic guitar and a Maton that I love playing so I am also interested in small Valve guitar amps but haven't attempted a build yet - it may be next on the list.

I have scanned some of the forum topics and found them very interesting so I'm sure I'll learn a lot from DIYAudio. Well thats it for now. Graemeo

Welcome to the forum!

There's a $100 tube guitar amp challenge going on, which you might find interesting.
