Hi Alex - and Welcome to diyAudio!!!

This is a great hobby that can reward your efforts for a lifetime - lot's of enjoyment in listening to good tunes played on good gear. There is fun to had building up projects of different types - speakers, amps, cables, music servers, etc. (it can be a loooooooooog list).
Plus you will get to meet an entirely new set of friends and fiends.

I like to start out with a good - but simple - speaker project. The reasoning being that you can spend a lot of time and money on everything else but if you have crap for speakers you won't be able to hear just how good that new amp (or whatever) really is. Short of good speakers good headphones can be of use for testing the rest of the music chain.

Give us a clue what direction you want to head off in 1st - you will get a lot of help.

Offffff course - this being the internet - sometimes you will get tooooo much help - or - gasp - help you don't really need.
