Hello everyone! I am so excited that I found a forum that is so informative in regards to enclosure design. I am very intrigued by the sheer overload of information there is here regarding complex enclosures (my main interest), and most certainly I am humbled by being here. I look forward to learning from all of you, and I thank you for having me!

The most important lesson before starting out - define what you are after - and what you can afford. That will help keep things from "growing" to unmanageable size and expense. Second most important lesson - have fun while you are playing around. ![]() Some of the OB (Open Baffle) designs are very nice and also affordable - and the "Econwave" build is a nice and easy low cost way to get going too. Planet 10 (Dave) has some very sweet single driver designs.

I started out with a Tangband W4 fullrange in a TQWT box. Or you could build an open baffle on the Dayton Audio 220, or its little brother. Both of these have an excellent price to wow effect ratio. If you are interested in tube amps I learnt a lot by working through Fred Nachbars Miniblok design. He has great descriptions of the build.
