Default newbie saying hi

"projects by fanatics, for fanatics"

Good tag line! And one of many reasons I love this site.

Hey all. I thought it about time I enter post #1 as I've been lurking long enough. I'm inexperienced when it comes to DIY audio, but not new to DIY in general as, for me, that's an outlet for my main passion: solving problems through design.

I'm just starting off by tackling some cross-connected coax speaker cables, and IC to spruce up an off-the-shelf stereo. But, time and money permitting (so much on the go at once) I'd love to assemble a low-mid gain amp + LDR-based pre some day!

Hope to get to know you all more later in the weeks/years to come...

-Rod
