Trying my hand at phonostage exploration.

Hello folks,

I'm Jerry and am an avid DIY'er of headphone amps and power supplies, and am about to purchase a turntable for the audio side of my Onkyo/Definitive Tech system. I want to reconnect with analog...I have been reading online info on RJM Audio for a probable MM preamp build and am seriously considering the VSPS300. Anyway...I will be looking for the right forum here and look forward to that experience as well as the pleasure I get out of the info from any of the other forums here at DIYaudio.

Welcome to the forum!

Phono stages are the toughest piece of analog electronics to get right. It will be an enjoyable challenge for you.

Thank you for the welcome...such a small and delicate signal to be sending through with a minimum of "outside influence" will be a challenge. But when Hendrix comes out the other end and that sustained note sends chills down my spine, it will have been worth it.
