Greetings from bombay. A friend in college recently built something he referred to as a 'minty amplifier' for around 3$ which kinda inspired me to explore the diy route.Now what is a 'minty amplifier' i dunno, but what i do kno is i wanna make a nice speaker system for my home use.I browsed this forum slightly and words like crossover, planars etc etc put me a lil off skelter.So it wud be real nice if you cud treat me like a 3 year old tot and run me thru the basics.Cheers.

Designing speakers is not easy, but read, search, and don't be afraid to ask questions- and don't be put off by the arcane arguments that inevitably follow simple questions and the simple answers.
