hi
i run a small eco project in the uk we are looking to build a sound system [under a canopy but outdoors] to run off our 12v deep-cycle batteries. so we are talking low power i discovered the class d amps and they fit perfectly with our project as the are super efficient and turn 90% of volts to sound with little current amps SAA - for the robust one 4*100 watt @ 4ohm, TK2050 Tripath Chip D-class Audio Amplifier Board_Audio Amplifier and other Audio Boards_RF and Audio, Video Equipments_Sure Electronics' Webstore for the one thats got more wattage but probably not so rugged. so now i just need the speakers to match. at 24 watts / channel @ 4ohms illd love to run a proper but low powered set up like the DR200 and Tuba 18/24 from billfitzmaurice's site. but a hardworking 2way cab with sub would be sufficient in running off such low power efficiently is really important we are looking to generate the best and loudest sound in the most efficient way [ie not going though an inverter or draining the batteries in 5 seconds-this kind of defeats the point for us] we play alot of electronic techno bass driven sounds but also delicate idm and folktronica/modern classical. and high and low volumes so we want detailed sound not just grunt. really would appreciate anyone's time and thoughts dan wellington View Public Profile Send a private message to wellington Find all posts by wellington View Blog « Previous Thread | Next Thread »
