Hi.
I live in Wellington, New Zealand. I joined the site a few months back with the intention of just making a pair of Madisound RBR’s. Now I’ve finished them I have an itch to build another more substantial pair of speakers.
So Hello to everyone, and thanks for making a really great site.
Now looking forward to more piles of MDF dust.
Kindest regards. Richard

Hello and MDF!
Hi Richard,
welcome to diyaudio!
There must be a whole lot of nasties in MDF, I have cut, routed, sanded and finished a whole lot of the stuff over the years and have always ended up with skin irritations. I know formaldahyde is one of the ingredients
Cheers.. Steve

Hello....
make sure to breath heavily when cutting MDF. That's IF you like to minimize your life expectancy. Took me a a few cuts before I started using a mask. DOH!
Cheers.
Probably a much better idea (if you don't have a complete dust removal system) is a helmet, with a filtered air supply on a waist belt.
Good luck and a warm welcome.
Jim.
