greetings from Montreal!

Hi all,

Been lurking occasionally on this site... wonderful place! There's a wealth of info. Hope to contribute from time to time. My current audio projects include reviving a rather expensive Marshall guitar amp, rejuvenating an old pioneer receiver, and identifying a mystery piece of audio equipment (more on that later).

I'm a graphic designer from Montreal and I also organize concerts and festivals on the side. My principal hobby is electronics tinkering. I have a fairly well-equipped lab and my latest acquisition is a JDS Uniphase HeNe laser that i'll convert into a spiffy-looking high-tech desk lamp for my office.

My first official post will involve that mystery piece of equipment... a Teac laserdisk player that doesn't seem to exist at all in any archive!

Thanks guys, for the kind welcome! looking forward to do some work on my next repair project in a few weeks, a Valvestate Pro 120 amp who keeps blowing its 3.5 A fuse.
I'll probably have a few questions when i'll dive into the troubleshooting part.
