Hi, new to the forum (sort of -- posted once last summer).
I'm also new to fixing audio components. What are good books/web links for total beginners -- things that basically show the reader how to use a multimeter to diagnose circuits, etc.? I've found general electronics books, but they only go into basic theory. Example: I have a JVC solid-state receiver that produces no sound. How would I use a multimeter to figure out what's the faulty circuit component(s)? |

Hi and welcome back. You might want to post your question other than in the intro area as not everyone looks in here.

Welcome to the forum... you'll want to look thru or search the electroincs forums... i could recommend some speaker books, and if you want to do something with tubes Morgan Jone's book (Valve Amplifiers) is a must.
An aweful lot can also be found on-line... quite a few universities have course material online. dave dave
