Hi everyone,
Complete newbie here from the USA. I've been interested in electronics for about 15 years as an enthusiast for high quality audio reproduction (home). During this time I have been involved in the industry in a 50/50 split between sales and home A/V installation (approx 1000 homes). I am currently enjoying my scratch n' dent audio system which consists of: Parasound C/DP 1000 Parasound D/AC 1000 Denon DAP-2500 PS Audio 200c...which is my reason for membership here... Snell C/IV As far as a DIY'fer,I had an absolute obsession with loudspeaker design/crossover theory, self studying off and on for about 3 years and using Vance's Cookbook and CALSOD. I worked with some Morel drivers, but this project was put on the "back-burner", and has sat for like 8 years now. Family, kids, marriages... and life in general has kept me away. Anyway, now that things have settled down, I've been enjoying some free time and listening to music again. However, this love/hate AMPLIFIER has gone from being the bane of my existence, to a new kind of obsession in problem solving Project:I might be chasing my tail on this transformer hum, but it has been an interesting ride. Currently I'm working on swapping out the relay for a new solid-state design, which is being posted here in Power Supplies: Swappin' Mech Power Relay for Solid State-Help is still needed! Thanks and take care! |
