Hello all from Hartland, Wisconsin. I found this web site from trying to get rebuilding information on the ESS speakers. I've been a real fan since 1976 when I purchased (and still own) a pair of ESS monitors. Recently I've been able to pick up a pair of AMT10b's but they are in rough shape. The Heils are OK but the drivers and passives are gone so I can't get them rebuilt. Any suggestions would be appreciated. The 10b's use a 10" driver but a 12" passive I believe. Thanks to all and I'm looking forward to learn more on this forum.

Welcome to the forum.
Seems to be a pretty common state for these. Cabinets should be rebuilt as well. We redid 2 sets of these, each customer had different goals. AMT 1 drivers, + added eminence beta midrange + crossover ![]() Bipolar fostex 9" mid-basses + Heil ribbon, simple 1st order XO ![]() dave

Hello Bucky and welcome to the forums. Don't be afraid. The ugly guy in the photos is not planet10. He's much better looking than that.
Cheers. |
