Hello all,
Pleased to make your aquaintances! Great to see everybody working so hard.
I have a well worn copy of National's Audio Radio Handbook I bought when I built my first amp back in 1981.
It was the bridged LM383 and I used ceramic caps in the signal path.
Growing up I lusted for the big amps of the 1970's so now I buy them at garage sales.
My favorite is my Marantz 4300 Quadradial.
Beautiful effortless sound, but of course noisy switches and pots.
Also have a Marantz 2440 & 1030.
I like old Onkyos too, I have the A7, A5 & T4.
Other transistor amps are a Sansui AU-X301i & a Magnavox MRB200.
My old stereo tube amps are a Dynaco ST35 & a Kenwood KW44 reciever.
Homemade equipment includes a Valkyrie preamp with Marchand crossovers,
a LM3089 FM, FM10 transmitter, Signetics 540 amp, various headphone amps and speakers.
One pair is the Electro Voice 16A's, mostly original crossover but new Madisound & Audax drivers.
Current project is an embedded PC with no fans for my mp3 jukebox.
And I am collecting parts for a Son of Zen & maybe that revision of the A40 I've been hearing about.
Best wishes to you.

Thanks for the welcome guys!

Hey Dave.

Marchand XM1s which feed my A7 which feeds my subs. They are 15" Emminence's in 4 foot transmission lines.

Nice web site.
