Default Hello from Manchester

Hi I'm a student at university in Manchester, UK and getting ready to take my first steps in building my own Hi-Fi setup. I've been doing some looking and reading around on these forums and I think that a good way for me to start out is by building myself a T-amp (the audiocostruire.com kit) and then a DDDAC1543 to play flac files from my computer via usb.

I am still looking for a suitable design for some small speakers, since being a student I will have limited space in my room next year.

Any suggestions of books I should read or other resources I should use are greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

-Telemin-

Hi Telemin and welcome to the forums. If you have specific questions, better to ask them in the appropriate forums as not everyone looks in here.

Good luck.

Hi Telemin,
I'm a UMIST alumni so say hi to Manchester for me. Ahh, fond memories of Moss Side, the Harp larger factory and waiting for the bus at 8am in force 8 wind & rain to get in for math lectures

BTW, I took you out of moderation

Thanks Iain, I shall do I assume you know that UMIST doesn't exist in it's own right anymore, and has combined with Victoria University just to become The University of Manchester.

Nice to see someone not too far away.
