Smile Yet another Member from Oz saiyng G'Day

G'Day all,

I'm Mick as you may well of guessed from my username I live in Australia, thought I'd just say a quick G'Day to you all. I'm new to DIY Audio, but have trained as a Cabinet Maker and Carpenter Joiner over the last 20 odd years, GEEZ I'm getting OLD I would like to build my own speakers one day and really like the LUSH DELICOUS sounds of horns, I know there not for everyone, but I just can't help it , they appeal to me

I managed to hear some Chilli Changs (Another Members Pair actually) and really like the sound, Scott and Dave really do a nice sounding speaker design, Good work GUYS

Anyways just thought I'd say a quick G'Day, Geez I'm repeating myself already I tend to do that alot I'm getting OLDER

Take care All talk with you soon

I'm figuring there is a dropped "s" there and he means Brisvegas, which i assume is Brisbane & they have legal gambling there?

dave

Edit: Wikipedia seems to agree http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bris_Vegas

Howdy Mick,

Welcome. Great forum, this...you'll enjoy it.

Yep, Dave, Brisvegas is common slang for Brisbane. Only 4,256km from here, by car...

Welcome from another Queenslander! (Just dropping that due to the recent State of Origin match. )

I've only been here for a while but the members are something else! Very polite and knowledgeable.
