Hi, everyone! I must confess right away that I am a guitar amp/pedal tweaker. That said, I'm eager to learn from the hi-f community, as you seem to have a deeper electronic knowledge.

So far I've breadboarded a few original pedal designs, built an original preamp into the guts of a Sovtek MIG100, and tweaked/customized a Marshall DSL100.

I'm at a point where I want to get serious about audio electronics, but I'm not sure how to proceed. I've got tons of questions about things like sourcing parts, prototyping, setting up a workbench, construction techniques, formal education and career, etc. For now though, I'll just search around and read. Glad to be here!

Welcome to the forum!

In most areas, there are sticky threads on just the sort of topics you're looking for. The Search feature will get you into total information overload, not a bad thing.
