Hi guys,
I'm a young audiophile-in-training.

Or so I wish.

Uhmm, I came here after talking to a fellow DIYer about modifying a small speaker board for a semi-scungy monitor setup. I then realised I don't have any speakers worth powering and after some careful thinking I decided I want to build a small setup to serve some audio mixing/engineering/producing learning.

So here I am with a few questions to ask and decisions to make.

1. Should I decide on what speakers to build first, and then find a suitable amp? Or the other way around.

So if someone is friendly enough to answer me that question I can start the journey, do the appropriate searches and then open a thread or two!!

Buy used gear. . . mod the heck out of it. . . learn. . . post progress. . . pics too.

You will need something as reference.

Welcome to the forum

A speaker & an amplifier should always be considered as a system... each depends on the other.
