Default New rookie in audio!

Hello, everyone! I'm new to this forum, as you all can tell xD. I was searching for audio amplifiers to pump 10" speakers but to no avail. During my search, i stumbled upon this site and thought maybe some of you can help me. So, here I am XD.

I want to build an amplifier to power 1 or 2 10" dual-coil, dual-magnet speakers but I'm new to amplifiers or audio related things. People talks about powers when it comes to amplifiers but students in my college talkes about gain of an amplifier.

I don't know what do I need to know about amplifiers, transistors, and other components needed. That's why I hope some of you may help.
