I'm a new member located in Sydney Australia.

I was moved to join after browsing your forum for help on
a problem I have with my GK 700RB bass guitar head.

By plugging in what was a short circuited lead into the output
plug of the head, I have damaged it.

On examination, I have found an electrolytic cap has exploded
and there are a number of resistors burnt on the power stage.

I'm looking to acquire some advice on how to get the unit operational again.

I hope I can just acquire the caps and the resistors I need. I have contacted GK about getting some information (schematic, bill of materials, parts specification)

I have an electronics background so will have no problem doing the actual parts replacement.

Sad to say it is Solid State..............as an homage to tube amps it does have its G.I.V.E. system...or Gate Induced Valve Effect.
Do yourself a favor & find a true valve amp for your guitar. This is rated for 380 Watts and a "smaller" second 50 Watt amp. Why so much power I wonder?

Oh..By the way welcome Paul!
