Yep, there's DIY audio nutz in the Arkansas hills, too.

Like many others, an all expenses paid trip to the Far East by Uncle Sam made good audio gear affordable to a po' boy so I got me some, brought it back to the world and derived much joy from it for several years.

Then came wife-kids-career that dominated the next couple of decades. I'm here as an almost empty nester (last one is 1/2 way through college) inverterate tinkerer-modder-tweaker-upgrader sort that never got over my love of well reproduced music.

All my original equipment is long gone, but the stuff I ve been gathering up lately is better anyway. I'm talking components that costs $10s and $100s. I'm jazzed about getting out the soldering iron, firing up the diyaudio search function and making my stuff sound like it cost $1000s!
