Smile Hello from Edmonton

Hi everyone,

I hail from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

I have completed a passive linestage and 41Hz tripath amp that I placed in enclosures complete with Front Panel Express panels, photo attached.

I have a web site that describes them and has free FPD files on it. Though, I hesitate listing it here because it also contains a small online store in which I am trying to get rid of extra parts. I am not sure of the etiquette on this forum regarding grey-area advertising - project pages.

Great forum, I have read it on and off over the last several years.

Cheers, Keith

Hi,

Cool.. I know AudioAsylum people are real sticklers. I hope somebody uses my FPD files for their own project. The Hammond 1455T2201 enclosure is a great looking case for smaller DIY Audio projects. Building on the FPD files I developed, one might imagine a whole range of DIY components stacked neatly, rivalling the looks of commercial gear.

Hello Keith and welcome to the forums. Last trip to Edmonton was 22 years ago for a 6 week stint downtown. Love the people.

Default Admonton

Hi Keith,

Welcome. I lived in Edmonchuck in my late teens to late 20's. Bought my first serious DIY speaker components, a pair of Altec 511B horns and drivers from Harold's Stereo. They were a high end shop that sold Altec, Marantz and more.

In hindsight I wish I had also purchased a pair of 604 coaxial drivers from them when the getting was good. Who knew?!!! A friend of mine did and put them in Karlson enclosures, where they just didn't work IMO, WAY to bright. I think the 604's from that era (70's) were absolutely fine full range drivers in the right cabinet. I have a single right now looking for an affordable deal on a mate.

I don't miss the cold long winters and the mosquitos in the summer.
