Thumbs up Hello from Belgrade

As good manners say, a warm hello to the community from me, too.
My searches have often landed me to DIYaudio pages, so I decided to finally register! :-) I hope to be able to find some nice tips in the future as well and exchange any resources!
Though I consider myself prety hooked on good audio, my current setup might not sound that impressive (I kinda have a limited space as well):
* LUXMAN L-405 (though completely reworked) amp
* LUXMAN T-240 tuner
* REVOLVER with REVOLVER arm and SUMIKO BLUE POINT cartridge
* DENON DVD-1920 and MARANTZ CD-63MK2 (both serving as transport for ...)
* VTL StraightLine DAC
* MUSICAL FIDELTY Reference 2 & USHER S-520 speakers
* AIWA F-640Z & AKAI GX-95 (though -after few years out of operation- both need repairing, i.e. new belts)
* custom made silver interconnects

Cheers!

Hi congole! and Welcome to diyAudio

Zen Mod can show you the way to audio bliss - and roast meat on a large stone at the same time. Both the audio and the meat will be very tasty!

c2cthomas, that is tempting :-D !
BTW, who would you suggest as the best source for tube info on these pages? I am starting considering replaements for the original ones in the VTL DAC (2AT7 aka ECC81 triodes) -and maybe do other small upgrades arround, but among all the equivalents there 's probably an optimal price-performance selected set to look for...

I adore Fikus's enthusiasm , especially with speakers .......

but isn't that when the fun really begins? Nothing makes smoke like a tube amp!!
I was around tube circuits for years and thanked the gods of electrons when the transistor was created. Then I thanked them again when the IC came into being. Then I went full circle back to the tubes but found them to be just a PIA to work with - to fussy and it's hard to find good suppliers now. Today - now I like the FET's (different flavors) again. But then I start thinking and ......... well maybe it could be this next little toy over here. Maybe I should have paid more attention to Papa when I worked for him fixing stereo's back in the '70's.

Sigh - I love this hobby!!
