There is so much to learn

Hello from London, UK, my name is Dukes.

I have been rebuilding a lot of blown speaker units and have enjoyed reading about crossovers and drivers.

Currently learning alot about DIY audio, in general, and very interested (although starting from scratch) in a couple potential budget hobbies:

1.
Building a pair of active studio monitors to equal or better the KRK Rokit 6 specification.

2.
Rebuilding home speakers, adding some sort of protection, for party situations when people abuse the volume knob.

Any advice would be warmly welcomed.
