Another new guy

I have been lurking for a while and I figure I should say hello. I live in RI. and have worked for the same company for 22 years, a leading Coordinate machine manufacturer. I started as an electronics technician and have had various positions over the years. Currently I do software and hardware support. I like to fix things, especially stereo equipment. Recently I scored 2 Koss CM-1030 floor standing speakers that were at the end of a neighbors driveway, with a "free" sign on them. It woke my love for stereo equipment up. Since then I have scored a Dynaco PAT-4 preamp and a Harman Kardon CD-491 cassette deck from the local thrift store. The PAT-4 works great, but the H/K needs a bias osc. assembly.

It's nice to be here and I'll shut up now.

Hmmm - looks as if you need to score one of the classic turntables to round out your little collection of gear.
