great resource!

Hi all, from Portland, OR. I am just an amateur hobbyist, a hobby I got into quite a few years ago and then had no time for. Now, I have a lot more time after a disabling injury, and want to do some of the things I used to enjoy.
A lot of new stuff to learn and I see that I really need to brush up on my math skills, such as they are. Funny how fast you get rusty.
Glad to find such an interesting resource for the DIY'er. I hope to learn some here and help out with what I can.

Welcome aboard. It's all to easy to lost track of time reading all the great info, not so great info, and sometimes just plain off topic banter you can find here.
